Transnational Cooperation

The reconciliation of family and professional life is an important issue amongst the women of Greece and Europe. The Transnational Partnership TITANIA aims to focus on three identified objectives:

1. Strengthening and qualification of Social Economy;
2. Increasing of the opportunities for women to conciliate family and professional life;
3. Gender mainstreaming.

The first objective will be reached trough the implementation of an effective exchange of experience about qualification processes for enterprises in the Social Economy. This kind of actions belong to each of the national Equal projects, therefore, at transnational level, the partners will describe what are the most successful actions carried out in each country and exchange experiences comparing the different experimentation. The second objective will be reached trough the comparison of the tools and methodologies implemented in the three local contexts. A strong need for each DP is the search of new social services allowing women to play their role of economic actors, mothers and wives. It is important therefore to find efficient methods for the creation and promotion of social business, mainly oriented to: research and identification of new market opportunities; viability plans; identification and enhancement of entrepreneurs; itineraries designing; search of alternative ways for financing and other subsidies to start the entrepreneurial initiatives. At transnational level, no enterprise will be created, but experiences will be transferred concerning the instruments used for starting up actions and the conciliation of family and professional life. As the previous ones, the third objective is based on an approach already used at national level by the DPs, and it will be applied as well at transnational level. The matter is how to reduce the inequalities that working women have to face when accessing or acting in the labour market. Appropriate working Groups will be set up on specific topics (diffusion of gender mainstreaming policies, regulation of precarious jobs, etc) to compare approaches and produce transferable methods.
