The aim of the project of the Development Partnership "Family Assistance" is the provision of integrated support services either to working women with family obligations or women who wish to enter the labor market but experience difficulties due to the lack of flexible working shifts, insufficient support or incompatibility of schedules. The ultimate aim of the D.P. is the reconciliation of family and professional life. (Axis 4. Equal Opportunities, Metron 4.1 Reconciling family and professional life) 

The goals of the project are:

• support to working and job-seeking women with family obligations through integrated social services
• highlight of good practices for the conciliation of family and professional life  
• promotion of self-employment of women in new commercial and economical fields
• influence the composition and implementation of laws and directives regarding the conciliation of family and professional life 

The Target - Groups of the project are employed women with family obligations or unemployed women with family obligations who wish to enter the labor market.

The actions implemented through the project are:  

• Creation of a Home Care Service Provider. The services offered comprise to child care and support services for the elderly
• Vocational training of the employees of the Home Care Service Provider
• Creation of a call center at the Home Care Service Provider. Through automated software, women will request the offered services, which will be tailor-made according to the needs of each family
• Technical assistance in the transformation of the Home Care Service Provider into a Social Enterprise, run by the same employees, after the end of the national project
• Creation of two (2) centers for Information, Counseling and Support for women with family obligations, who experience difficulties in reconciling their professional and family life. The Centers are going to provide information and counseling services regarding child and elderly care, education, recreation and will generally promote actions that reconcile family and professional life.
• Design of an evaluation tool that will enable the families to assess the services of the employees of the Home Care Services Provider.

Geographically, the implementation of the project will take place in the three municipalities of Aghioi Anargyroi, Petroupoli and Peristeri of Attica.
